Sweet Talk : Tales of a Flowering Ego

Each ticket includes a 3 course dessert dinner + 1 savory entrée + two tea ceremonies + immersive storytelling experience + gift bag with pastries, plant medicines, and vendor sample products.

Sweet Talk is an event curated to embrace the amity and communion between earth beings, specifically plants and humans, by encouraging conversation inspired by desserts, pastries and teas made with local, seasonal plants.

There are local plants all around us that are a huge part of our lives that often go unnoticed or worse, treated as pestilent and killed. Most plants have an omniscient understanding of its environment and know how to adapt and thrive. More times than not, the medicine we need is all around us. Being an earth being makes humans direct relatives to plants, both growing of the earth. Our relationship is extremely complex and often times ignored unless we find ourselves in need. 

My work with Sweet Talk is to explore our relationship with the plants local to our area by using them in a way that we all can relate to; food, specifically desserts! The food is the synergist here. 

This Sweet Talk event is titled "Tales of a Flowering Ego" as we will take guests on a journey to explore the complexity of connection between the egos of living beings, specifically humans and flowers, through immersive storytelling and foods made with edible flowers.

You can expect to be immersed in sound and story telling, experience foods that will imprint in your memory, engage in intimate conversation and meet the creative storyteller within yourself, while exploring the expression of ego and its representation in the plants around us.

This event will feature a few mindfully selected vendors that will feature products/services aligned with the event's theme. Our vendors will partake in the story telling as we explore their offerings during the event. Each vendor receives a ticket to the event and will sit at the table with all guests to also participate in the immersive experience. 

Each guest will receive a bag of treasures to take with them on their jouney.
