Sweet Talk : A Berry Affair

3-Course Dessert Sensory & Conversational Event

  • From 5 US dollars
  • Three Mask Inc.

Service Description

If you are reading this you've been invited by myself or a close friend. Sweet Talk is a series that I am curating and offering featuring seasonal herbs and fruits. This event is of course a food event where we indulge in a three course meal of... you guessed it, pastries! This event is titled "A Berry Affair" because we will commune with two berries that are near and dear to my heart and have been transformative in my journey as an herbalist and pastry chef, blackberries and elderberries are the star of this show. Expect to experience an explosion of flavor from three savory and sweet desserts and indulge in dynamic conversation about the power contained in these berries, how they have been used historically and how to approach them in respect. These berries and their entire spiritual imprint have inspired me to move even when I am stagnated by fear or uncertainty. They've whispered recipes to me in my sleep and guided my steps in the day. I am proud to present this series and share with you. Welcome to "Sweet Talk: A Berry Affair". ______________________________________________________ July 8. 2023 | 6-8pm est | 1023 W Colonial Drive This event is donation based. The entry donation amount is $5 per person. If you would like to take a sampler box of pastries home, please select the $25 donation option. The official menu will be presented during the event. But you can expect to experience up to 4 different plant-based desserts/pastries featuring elderberries and blackberries. Some of the desserts will be gluten-free and some have raw additions (like raw blackberry cheesecake:). There will also be mocktails and hot tea featuring elderberries and blackberries. If you have any nut or food allergies, please consider placing an order for a custom dessert, as this may not be the event for you. Also, we are honey positive and cannot guarantee to omit honey from any recipe. Expect to talk, learn, and exchange information and stories about the featured plants. Elderberries and blackberries are in season now! I recommend taking some time to visit them, commune with them, draw them, or connect in any way you feel led. See you soon!
